Bladder Control/Incontinence

Incontinence is the inability to control the passage of urine. This can range from an occasional leakage of urine to a complete inability to hold any urine. If you suffer from urinary incontinence or the involuntary loss of female bladder control or urinary incontinence you are not alone.

Fibroid Treatment (UFE)

Uterine fibroid detection is usually the result of a routine pelvic exam. Uterine fibroids are noncancerous tumors that develop within or attach to the wall of the uterus. Emory Decatur Hospital offers uterine fibroid embolization or UFE.

Emory Decatur Hospital offers state-of-the-art technology to perform a screening and diagnostic breast mammogram. A mammogram procedure results in a special breast X-ray that can help to detect breast changes that are too small or too deep to feel.

Osteoporosis Screening and Treatment

As women age, their bones change. At Emory Decatur Hospital in Atlanta, an osteoporosis screening may lead to a diagnosis of osteoporosis, which means bone mass or density is lost, resulting in pain or an increased likelihood of fractures.

Emory Decatur Hospital offers state-of-the-art technology to perform ultrasound which creates images that allow various organs and systems in the body to be viewed using high-frequency sound waves. It involves exposing part of the body to high-frequency sound waves to produce pictures of systems inside of the body.
