Dr. Monett, a long time Decatur resident, is a board-certified family practice physician and has practiced in the Decatur area for over 15 years. Educated at the University of Pennsylvania, with a medical degree from the University of Cincinnati, Dr. Monett completed his residency at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Affiliated Hospitals. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, Georgia Academy of Family Practice and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Dr. Monett enjoys caring for patients of all ages and is especially interested in preventive care. Same day or next day appointments are available for acute illnesses, and Dr. Monett provides 7:00 a.m. appointments on the third Wednesday of every month. Dr. Steinberg is a board-certified internal medicine physician. She obtained her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed her residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. Previously affiliated with Emory University as an assistant professor, she joined the DeKalb Physicians Group at Sage Hill Internal Medicine in 2007. In 2010, she moved to DeKalb Medical Physicians Group Downtown Decatur Family Medicine to centrally locate her practice in the DeKalb area.
Dr Steinberg treats patients 17 years of age and older. She is especially interested in preventive care for men and women, and women’s health issues. She is available for appointments Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. until early afternoon.

Dr. Matthew Marchal joins the DeKalb Medical Physicians Group Downtown Decatur Family Medicine with many years of experience in family and sports medicine. He acquired his undergraduate degree at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA. He completed his residency at Hanover Family Physicians in Mechanicsville, VA.
Dr. Marchal has spent the last 15 years practicing in Richmond, VA, where he has worked in both family practice and sports medicine. He is board certified in Family practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Virginia Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Sports Medicine. His skills include the evaluation and treatment of sports medicine injuries, including splinting and casting, nutrition and rehabilitation (with a special interest in cyclists), and minor skin surgery and wound repair.
Dr. Marchal has been married to his wife for almost 20 years. They decided to relocate to Atlanta when she received a well earned promotion with UPS. Dr. Marchal has been recognized as a “Top Doctor” among Family Medicine physicians as stated in Richmond Magazine for 3 years in a row in 2011, 2012 and 2013 issues. In addition, he was named as one of the “Best Doctors” in Richmond’s Style Weekly Magazine in 2011 and again in 2013.
Dr. Marchal is an avid cycler; he also enjoys running, travel, cooking and entertaining and listening to music.
Katina Robertson Murray, M.D., recently joined DeKalb Medical Physicians Group’s Downtown Decatur Medicine in May 2015. From 2013 to 2015, Murray served as owner and chief executive officer of Lathel Toliver an Alexandria, VA-based healthcare consulting firm and provided physician services at Malcolm Grow Medical Center, Family Health Clinic at Andrews Air Force Base, a certified patient-centered medical home. Dr. Murray received her bachelor of arts in psychology from Princeton University and her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine in 2008. She completed her family medicine residency at Emory University. She is board certified in family medicine. Outside of caring for her patients, Dr. Murray enjoys cooking, traveling and the arts.
